From the North
Design objects inspired by northern landscapes, culture and stories
This project brings together my work as an artist, designer and former tour guide.
I have transformed familiar landmarks of Karelia into contemporary souvenirs, that carry a sense of place and memory.
From minimalist illustrations to hand-crafted pieces, each item holds a story.
Landmark Icons Series
This series features the most iconic landmarks of Petrozavodsk and its surroundings.
I reinterpreted them through a clean, design-driven aesthetic focusing on form, rhythm and recognizability rather than literal detail.
The result is a set of contemporary visual symbols that carry the essence of northern architecture and landscapes.
Kizhi Mini Collection
I spent several years working as a guide on Kizhi Island and showing Karelia to guests from around the world. Those years shaped my eye for local heritage and inspired this collection.
The pins and sticker sets capture the island’s most memorable sights. You would certainly see them on a tour.
Drawn in a minimalist, iconic style, they help you recall the atmosphere of the island long after the journey ends.
Hand-Crafted Plates
This collection combines illustration, storytelling and traditional craft.
Each plate is made entirely by hand: from casting the plaster base to creating the artwork with alcohol inks and fine graphic details.
Every design depicts a recognizable landmark of Petrozavodsk or Karelia, and each plate comes with a short story that reveals its meaning and history.
I also designed the packaging and printed inserts, making every piece a complete, thoughtful souvenir experience.
A project rooted in place, memory and design.
A small way to share the North, wherever you are.
